How does the Valencia handle offroad (relatively even dirt trails, gravel, small, hills, etc)?

You are right. One can never have too many bikes. LOL

I never ever make any comments about punctures anymore. Everytime I opened my mouth in the past – wooops – I had a flat. So, the F-word will not be mentioned anymore.

I've got a bike with the same 8 speed hub (alfine). There's not problem going up or down hills with the gear range. The only problem is that the gears are spaced apart farther than you're used to – sometimes I wish there was a gear 4 and a half.

But haven't had any issues at all with finding a high or low enough gear to bike in – uphill or downhill.
