Thanks to your excellent reviews and updates, I walked over to Ace Wheelworks in my town (Somerville, MA) and ordered a Trek Valencia. I will pick it up tomorrow. I look forward to enjoying my Valencia as much as you have enjoyed yours.

Outstanding! The Valencia has been a solid bike for me and it has allowed me to achieve some pretty important cycling milestones. Sounds like you got a great deal on one, congrats!

good to see things are going good. i was able to get a '09 on sale for 600 and have added the topeak rack and dpx bag as well, its been great!
