I too own a Valencia and a Soho S. I use the Solo S as a winter commuter; I have Marathon Winter tires on it. I bought the Soho S in the summer and enjoyed the heck out of bombing around on it, not worrying about what gear I was in. So far it has been very reliable in the winter.
